An exploration of the INTJ personality type's characteristics.

INTJ: Strengths and Weaknesses

INTJs often view themselves as distinct from the 'common folk'. They maintain only necessary relationships, knowing that 'ordinary people' may not appreciate them. Their penchant for analysis extends to both others and themselves, constantly seeking perfection. Life for an INTJ can be heavy as they struggle to find joy in the seemingly superficial. They are rational beings who may seem inhuman at times, having little interest in what they deem as meaningless information.

INTJs don't waste words and are often not inclined to think along certain lines, especially in terms of interpersonal relationships. They dislike aimless gatherings and focus more on future plans. Their complex thoughts can be hard for others to understand, leading to misunderstandings. They prioritize themselves as the safest bet and are often indifferent to things outside their immediate interests.

They recognize emotions but may not manage them or please others. INTJs have a drive to understand things thoroughly and don't value beauty or money as much as intelligence. When truly engaged, they are highly focused.

They can see the essence of problems easily, which can cause issues in interpersonal relationships. INTJ women are hard to pursue but worth the effort. INTJs are highly interested in personality psychology.

Weaknesses include being overly serious and often killing the mood. They are self-absorbed and forgetful. They are sarcastic and cynical, finding fault in many things. They can be impractical and have low emotional intelligence. They are unique and may not participate in group activities. They lack a sense of humor and are inconsistent in their behavior towards others. In China, INTJ men may have an easier time expressing themselves than women. A typical example is Nash from 'A Beautiful Mind'.
