ESTJ Personality Type - Women

What is ESTJ? The ESTJ personality type, also known as the General Manager type, is one of the 16 personality types. 'E' stands for extroversion, 'S' for sensing, 'T' for thinking, and 'J' for judging.

ESTJ women are practical and down-to-earth, naturally gifted in technical or business fields. They are active supporters of the status quo and firmly believe in rules and procedures. They are extroverted and unhesitating when expressing their opinions and expectations to others.

Character strengths:

  • Professionalism: For ESTJ women, seeing things through is almost a moral obligation. They won't give up easily just because a task becomes difficult or boring. Once they take on a task as the right thing to do, they will complete it as long as it remains so.
  • Strong-willed: A strong will enables this dedication. They won't abandon their beliefs just because of simple opposition. They tenaciously defend their ideas and principles and will only concede if their stance is clearly proven wrong.
  • Direct and honest: They trust facts more than abstract ideas or viewpoints. Straightforward statements and information are king, and they respond with honesty.

Weaknesses:

  • Inflexible and stubborn: So focused on what works that they often overlook potentially more effective methods. Until proven otherwise, everything is just an opinion, and they are reluctant to believe in an opinion long enough for it to have a chance.
  • Uncomfortable with unconventional situations: ESTJ women are firm supporters of tradition. When suddenly forced to try untested solutions, they become uncomfortable and stressed.
  • Judging: They have strong beliefs about what is right, wrong, and socially acceptable. Their impulse to create order often extends to everything and everyone, ignoring the possibility that there are two correct ways to get things done.
