The Traits of INFJ
Analysis of the characteristics of INFJ personality type.
The 7 Traits of INFJ
INFJs are people who live in the world of thoughts. They are independent and original thinkers with strong emotions, firm principles, and an upright humanity. Even in the face of doubts, INFJs still believe in their own views and decisions.
Some books call INFJs 'counselors' or 'writers'; others call them 'guardians', but I think 'guides' is a more appropriate term.
The main characteristics of INFJs are profoundness, mystery, stubbornness, loyalty, and a strong sense of mission. What other characteristics do they have?
-
Contradiction INFJs are a complex of contradictions. They often find themselves in a dilemma in various aspects. Fundamentally, INFJs are both confident and self-abased. Their confidence is actually a defense mechanism caused by their inferiority complex. Sometimes they are extremely stubborn, and sometimes they are indecisive. Sometimes they are passive and don't want to chat; sometimes they are active and can't wait to confess. In choosing between A and B, INFJs never find a good balance.
-
Dark side This is a point that distinguishes INFJs from INFPs. Both INFPs and INFJs are sentimental, but the dark side of INFPs appears after they are 'blackened'. INFJs themselves have a dark side. They think a lot and will retaliate as long as they feel attacked, looking for the weaknesses of others to counterattack.
-
Loneliness INFJs like to be alone. They feel restrained in social occasions with many people. Although they may not be stage-frightened, they still feel tired. In social situations, their words and actions need to take care of and cater to others while also making themselves appear stable and proper. So INFJs feel that being alone is more comfortable.
-
Tolerance INFJs believe that the existence of everything is reasonable and therefore needs to be tolerated. They don't like to deny or refute others. Even if they don't agree, they will keep their opinions and show respect.
-
Planning INFJs will plan their day's schedule before going out and have a certain degree of planning. However, their planning is not particularly rigid. When the situation changes, INFJs can quickly adjust their plans. Therefore, planning for INFJs is more of an ideal product, and whether it can be followed in actual situations is not important.
-
Pursuit of self The pursuit of self is relatively obvious in INFJs. Although they are masters of empathy, they only try to understand others on the basis of understanding and accepting themselves. If they have to choose between others and themselves, INFJs will still follow their own feelings more. Therefore, the views of INFJs are difficult to be refuted. The things INFJs like are difficult for them to let go, but this kind of self is not related to 'selfishness'.
-
Desire for freedom INFJs have an unruly free soul and hate the feeling of being restrained, so they always act alone. In a group, INFJs always feel there are too many entanglements. Although a person's world sacrifices some care from friends to some extent, INFJs care more about an environment without pressure. For them, others are hell.
