Title: Understanding the 16 MBTI Personality Types
What personality type are you? What does it represent? The MBTI theory suggests that a person's personality can be analyzed from four dimensions, represented by letters as follows:
Source of motivation: Extraversion (E) - Introversion (I) Way of receiving information: Sensing (S) - Intuition (N) Way of making decisions: Thinking (T) - Feeling (F) Attitude towards uncertainty: Judging (J) - Perceiving (P).
When combined in pairs, these can form 16 personality types. In fact, these 16 types can be classified into four major categories. Here, we select and summarize the four major categories as shown in the following figure.
In the eyes of some people, it seems that extroverted E types are always more popular than introverted I types. Everyone thinks that one must become extroverted, confident, and make a large group of friends to be considered successful. However, this view is actually somewhat one-sided.
Each personality has its unique charm, just like each color of a rainbow is unique. We don't have to mold ourselves into the 'ideal personality' in the eyes of others. In fact, rather than forcing ourselves to change our dominant personality, it is better to explore and develop those less obvious recessive personality traits while maintaining our true selves. In this way, we not only maintain our true selves but also become more diverse and rich.
