The INFP personality type, also known as the Mediator Personality, is one of the 16 types in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). It represents Introversion, Intuition, Feeling, and Perceiving. INFP comes from the theories of Carl Jung and was further developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother. INFPs are idealistic, deeply caring, and show selfless love. They are highly intuitive and creative, often using symbolic language in art and literature. However, they can be easily trusting and may feel isolated. In the professional field, they are suited for creative and interpersonal jobs. In family life, they are supportive in marriage and seek deep connections with their children. Famous people like J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling are examples of INFPs. While MBTI is widely used, it also has some controversy as it may not be completely accurate and over-reliance on it can lead to self-labeling issues.
