Which MBTI personality is the tidiest and which one is the messiest? Explore the different cleaning habits of 16 MBTI types.

MBTI Personalities: Who's the Messiest and Who's Neatest?

When it comes to tidying up, people often think of Si. However, not all users of Si are necessarily neatly organized in daily life. So, which MBTI personality is a tidying expert, and which one is a slob? The reality might surprise you.

ESTJ usually has a moderate amount of stuff at home or in the office. They don't like a space filled with clutter, so their personal space is neither extremely neat nor messy, just average.

ISTJ's desk is often messy. The reason is unclear. Perhaps all their Si is focused on the data on the screen and they don't have time to deal with the papers at hand. ISTJ and SFJ can be a good combination as the diligent SFJ can help ISTJ clean up the mess.

ESFJ is the most diligent and tidiest personality among the 16 types. Wherever they go, there is no trash. Their workstations or bedrooms are well-organized, almost giving a sense of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

ISFJ is not as extreme as ESFJ but also likes to keep things tidy. They usually have fewer items and keep them neatly arranged, which is pleasing to the eye.

ESTP might seem glib and careless, but they also care about these ritualistic things. Their office desks and living spaces are usually relatively clean.

ISTP is always refined in all aspects, so naturally they won't allow themselves to be sloppy in life. They will do the necessary cleaning.

ESFP is very messy. Their rooms and workstations may be in a mess, with clothes and snacks thrown everywhere, and they don't even remember to throw away expired food. They are just very lazy.

ISFP is a bit better than ESFP but not by much. Mainly because they are too lazy. On days off, they just want to lie in bed and have no desire to clean up the house.

ENTJ expects their mothers or partners to clean up for them. They will use others if they can and try not to do it themselves.

ENTP is even lazier than ENTJ. They don't even bother to ask someone else to help. But surprisingly, ENTP's room is relatively neat among the P types. The reason is unknown. Maybe ENTP has some magic.

INTJ's living and office spaces are usually minimalist. Since there aren't many things to begin with, and they can't stand mess, they usually clean up as they go, making the environment even neater.

INTP is a chronic procrastinator and extremely lazy. If no one helps them clean up their living space, they might stay in a messy environment forever.

ENFJ is a 'partial cleaner'. They will clean up the places they want to clean neatly but won't bother with the places they don't want to clean. So, ENFJ's home often becomes a 'contrast of extremes'.

ENFP is also dependent on others. They like a clean environment but are too lazy to clean it themselves. They usually ask their family to help them clean up.

INFJ is rather mysterious. It depends on their mood. If it's a place they like, they will put in effort to clean it up. If it's a place they don't like, they will give up and not clean it at all, but then they will be very disgusted with the environment.

INFP has imagined countless ways to clean up their living space, workstation, or desk, but has never taken any actual action. They always think about starting tomorrow.
