12 Characteristics of INTPs

INTPs, short for Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Prospecting, are one of the 16 personality types determined by the MBTI personality assessment. Known as logicians or analysts, they are among the most unique personality types.

First, INTPs have a different perspective on life. Their way of thinking and approaching problems is distinct from the average person. They are particularly fascinated by human thought.

Second, they only open up to specific people. They can be shy or avoid those they don't know well. But with like-minded people, they become lively and enthusiastic.

Third, INTPs enjoy abstract thinking. They view the world as a complex system and are good at examining connections and creating incredible concepts.

Fourth, they are often misunderstood. Their sharp logic is often hidden and only shared with those they fully trust.

Fifth, they despise routine and boring tasks. They prefer to spend time on creative activities rather than mundane chores.

Seventh, they may not be very attentive to emotions. They focus more on logic than feelings.

Eighth, they like to dissect things and concepts, which can make others uncomfortable.

Ninth, they may feel unappreciated. They are honest and don't beat around the bush.

Tenth, they are nonconformist and don't follow traditional concepts. They are always looking for new ideas and unique answers.

If you think you might be an INTP, observe your thinking style. Are you constantly coming up with new ideas and transforming ordinary concepts into extraordinary ones?
