Understanding ENTJ Personality
An exploration of the ENTJ personality type.
ENTJ: The Commanding Personality ENTJ, short for Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging, is a remarkable personality type. They are decisive individuals who thrive on drive and achievement. ENTJs gather information to build their creative visions but seldom hesitate for long before taking action. Leaders by nature, those with an ENTJ personality are charismatic and confident. They command authority in a way that attracts people to unite behind a common goal. However, these traits come with a sometimes ruthlessly rational side. They use their drive, determination, and sharp minds to achieve any goal they set for themselves. Their strong personalities can be off-putting at times, but ultimately, ENTJs take pride in their work ethic and impressive level of self-discipline. ENTJs believe they have a powerful positive influence on others. They love challenges and firmly believe that with enough time and resources, they can achieve anything. This makes them excellent entrepreneurs and powerful business leaders with their strategic thinking, long-term focus, and determination and precision in executing every step of a plan. ENTJs are dominant, unforgiving, and tenacious at the negotiation table. This isn't because they are mean but because they enjoy the challenge and intellectual sparring. They push for victory and may not back down easily. ENTJs respect those who match them intellectually and are equally precise. They are good at spotting talents but can be cold in pointing out failures. For ENTJs, emotional expression isn't a strength. They may overlook the emotional sensitivities of others, which can make enemies. They need to remember that they rely on a good team. If they can combine emotional health with their strengths, they'll have fulfilling relationships and challenging victories.
