INFJ: The Most 'E' of the 'I' People
Introduction Why am I writing this article? Certainly because I've encountered troubles in life. When there is no useful outlet to seek from the outside world, one can only dig deep within. It has been many years since my last 16 personality type test. To check if my personality has changed significantly after starting work, I took the test seriously once again. As for why I thought of doing a personality test, it must be because I wanted to solve the problem from within.
Rarity of INFJ After the test, I carefully read the introduction to INFJ (edited version). Firstly, INFJ ranks first on the rare list. I think there are two reasons. The first reason is relativity. Compared to other personalities, the proportion of INFJ is smaller. The second reason is the attribute of the personality itself. People of this type are generally good at not showing their true selves. Different from pure introverts, INFJ is the most extroverted introvert. To adapt to society, they will put on a social mask to adapt to the external environment and interpersonal relationships, and sometimes even play a more active role. However, as introverts by nature, these actions undoubtedly consume a lot of INFJ's energy, making it easy for them to fall into internal conflict. (For example: When the atmosphere is awkward and someone needs to liven things up, one forces oneself to chat, speak, and find topics. As soon as everyone starts talking, one immediately retreats to a corner. Non-intimate friends cannot understand that you are an introvert.)
Personality Traits
- High-Sensitivity: INFJ can quickly detect changes in other people's emotions and can almost be called an 'emotional detector'. They have extremely strong empathy and can deeply understand and feel the emotions of others. At the same time, they are easily influenced by others' emotions.
- Perfectionism: They care too much about others' evaluations and views. Other people's opinions are like invisible shackles that often bind them and lead to serious internal conflict.
- Strong Moral Sense: Deep down, they are filled with an original idealism and selfless spirit, altruism. They do not deliberately manage interpersonal relationships.
- Emotional Purity: Whether in friendship or love, they value relationships deeply. They value quality over quantity. To be able to deeply understand and enter their spiritual world. For INFJ, spiritual communication and satisfaction far surpass any material or superficial interaction.
- Love for Solitude: They like to stay at home or choose relatively quiet places to have fun, pursuing the peace and abundance of their inner world.
Work Challenges Facing this year's new work arrangements and the complex interpersonal issues of directing and arranging others' work, my stress resistance is zero. I am caught in serious internal conflict while having to do the work with tears. At the beginning of the work, it seems that I can already see myself at the end of the year, dragging a tired body and insisting to the end with a sliver of strength and shouting victory. This is the result that omits the process. Looking back at the process, there are countless late nights when one quietly breaks down alone.
Conclusion People always have to strive to live. Before finding a suitable way out, I cannot give up the job that guarantees my livelihood. I admit that I am an INFJ with ambition but also with seven minutes of enthusiasm. At this moment, I still firmly believe that a way out can be found. Although with my current writing ability and vision, I am not yet able to talk about much. However, I ultimately want to become an excellent INFJ. This is my introverted belief. When I have accumulated enough, I will definitely reach a higher level.
