The Origin and Details of MBTI's Sixteen Personality Types
Consider that for a moment: everything we see around us is assumed to have had a cause and is contingent upon.
The Origin and Details of MBTI's Sixteen Personality Types
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) has a long history. In 1913, Swiss psychologist Carl Jung proposed two attitude types: extroversion (E) and introversion (I). In 1921, Jung put forward four function types: sensing (S), intuition (N), thinking (T), and feeling (F). Combining these, he formed eight personality types.
In 1942, Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers developed a testing system based on Jung's personality theory, named MBTI. This system determines personality types from four basic dimensions: extroversion-introversion (E-I), sensing-intuition (S-N), thinking-feeling (T-F), and judging-perceiving (J-P), resulting in sixteen personalities.
After over 70 years of development, MBTI has become a common personality test worldwide, widely used in career planning and major selection.
