Understanding MBTI: A Simple Classification Guide

MBTI, or the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, has gained significant popularity across the globe. It has become a trending topic among the younger generation.

The MBTI personality classification method is based on psychological theory and divides personality traits into four dimensions: Introversion (I) and Extraversion (E), Intuition (N) and Sensing (S), Thinking (T) and Feeling (F), and Judging (J) and Perceiving (P).

The Simplest Way to Classify MBTI MBTI is classified according to four dimensions:

  1. Thinking Style (Sensing vs Intuition): S-type thinkers focus on specific details and are good at handling practical matters. N-type thinkers, on the other hand, prefer abstract thinking and speculation.
  2. Information Processing Style (Thinking vs Feeling): T-type people are good at processing information in a logical and analytical way. F-type people, however, pay more attention to emotions and interpersonal relationships.
  3. Decision-making Style (Judging vs Perceiving): J-type people prefer planning and arranging and like to control the situation. P-type people are more free and open and enjoy adapting to changes.
  4. Energy Type (Extraverted vs Introverted): E-type people enjoy socializing and talking loudly. I-type people are more quiet and independent.

The Easiest Classification Method for MBTI When meeting people, those who regain energy are E-type. When meeting people, those who consume energy are I-type. People with observation skills and the ability to understand others' thoughts are N-type. People who cannot understand others' thoughts are S-type. People who care about others' emotions are F-type. People who don't care about others' emotions are T-type. People who like to break school rules are P-type. People who abide by school rules are J-type.

MBTI is currently one of the most effective personality classification methods. Through MBTI classification, we can better understand our own personality characteristics, thereby better leveraging our strengths and overcoming our weaknesses. At the same time, we can also better understand the differences of others.

However, all psychological tests are only tools to help us understand ourselves and not absolute truths. The human inner world is complex and changeable. We should not overly rely on test results but focus on personal growth and change.

Importantly, we should maintain a positive attitude, be brave in exploring our inner world, and embrace our true selves. In this process, we may discover our shortcomings, but we will also find our shining points. Finally, we should learn to reconcile with our growth and cherish ourselves at every stage because everyone has their own unique value and unlimited possibilities.
